Case Study
Being a global icon for skate culture, creativity and the Californian attitude, VANS (Singapore) provided a physical space within their flagship store that was dedicated to allow customizations of their products and merchandise. I was invited by VANS (SG) to conduct a linocut workshop in which the participants get to hand-carve and hand-print their designs on canvas totebags. The methods of linocut allow the DIY spirit of the brand to be embodied within the entire experience of creating and being in the space.

Process
The participants were guided on the methods to create an abstract image but also encouraged to compose their own designs. The result is a group of printed outcomes that reflect each individual's visual preferences.
